Mrs. Pelham LYLES <fairfieldmus@InfoAve.Net> is the source of most of the information below:
A Lyles REUNION has been scheduled for Firday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8, 2000 at the Feasterville Boarding House, which can barely be seen from a historic marker on South Carolina Highway # 215, about five miles south of the Fairfield/Chester County line (the Coleman/Feaster/Mobley Reunion is held there the first weekend of October).
Stewart> Pelham is the greatest and loves giving her enjoyable and interesting Fairfield County tours.

NEXT DAY, A "TAMER" TOUR VERSION, EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING (SPEAKERS, SHARING OF COPIES OF INFORMATION, ETC.), SUNDAY, AN ECUMENICAL SERVICE AT EITHER LIBERTY OR ROCK CREEK (BETTER THERE AS MOST LYLESES OUT THERE WENT TO R.C. LUNCH AND GOODBYES. PELHAM
How everyone can help:
Pelham> Frankie Liles <firstname.lastname@example.org> of Richmond (a descendant of Ephraim Lyles' brother, Colonel John LILES through the Union County line?) has offered to do all the addresses and mailing on the newsletter to announce the Lyles Reunion. She is on the computer all the time. Send her contacts. Get all birth dates for updating the records.
About a Lyles genealogy book.
Pelham > I THINK SHE WAS ALWAYS INTERESTED IN OUR USING IT IN SOME SORT OF BOOK FORM. THERE ARE SOME WEALTHY LYLESES OUT THERE AND IF YOU WILL INVESTIGATE WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO GET SHARON'S DISK AND GET IT INTO A PUBLISHABLE FORM, WE SHOULD GET TOGETHER ON IT. WE MAY WANT TO OFFER SOME SORT OF MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR THE EONS OF WORK SHE HAS PUT TOGETHER. THIS COULD BE SOMETHING WE COULD START A DRIVE FOR IN THE FIRST NESWSLETTER.
About the BIBLE of Arromanus LYLES II and his wife Mary WOODWARD:
Pelham > THE INK ON THE PAGES HAD LOTS OF IRON IN IT AND THE FRONTS AND BACKS OF THE SCRIPTED PARTS HAVE EATEN AWAY TO WHERE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A COPY FROM. I WILL ASK MY DAD AND PERHAPS WE COULD ALSO RAISE THE MONEY (OR I'LL INVESTIGATE THE COST TO HAVE IT DONE AND HE'LL PROBABLY FINANCE IT) TO HAVE IT STABILIZED AND CLEANED UP ON PHOTOSHOP FOR PRESERVATION AT LEAST OF A WORKING COPY FOR PUBLICATION.
