Hello, my name is Deidre Davis I was born on Feb. 25, 1962 as Deandre Lyles (my Mid-wife misspelled my name).  I am writing to give you the little history I know about my family in hopes that you can tell me that we are are not related.

 My Grandfather died before I was born, but his name was Clarence Lyles ( I have no idea when he was born or when he died).  He married my Grandmother who's name was Elnore Dent.  She had two children by him, their names were:

Gladys Elnora Lyles (01/24/1925 - 01/24/1997) -- my Mother and Oliver Lyles (I don't know either date).

Gladys' children are:  Mary LeElanora Lyles-Young (04/29/41), Bertina Elizabeth Lyles-Dreher (11/11/42), Gladys Irene Lyles-Young (01/11/44), TiaJuana Renee Lyles{Anderson}-Shepherd (02/18/61), Deidre Adair Lyles{Anderson}-Cunningham-Davis, and Faith Miriam Lyles.  {father changed our names in 1971 or 1972}.

Oliver's children are:  Patricia Lyles, Idola Dotson, Beverly Dotson, Elaine Dotson, Beverly Dotson, Billy Dotson, Gale Dotson, and Robert Dotson

Dear Stewart,

I read your letter to Mrs. Linda Pingaro Scalf, and checked the files posted on the Web.

I see that Millie Lyles is listed as daughter to William Lyles and Elizabeth Ward, which was indeed the way I had set this up originally, with the Notation that her placement was not documented, but for my convenience.

Later, I discovered that Millie was the daughter of Major Ephraim Lyles, Jr. of Newberry Co., and his second wife, Elizabeth Anderson. Millie had a brother, Harrison, but I think he died rather young.

Hello. I accidentally found this website and found my name on it. My name is spelled incorrectly, as is my daughters. I thought I would give you the correct information, along with a few other tidbits on the family that I know.

Under Patsy Lyles,dec'd......she lived her adult life in Denton, Texas, but actually died in a hospital in San Antonio Tx.........spouse is Truett......Truett died in Mar. 1997 in Denton, Texas.

one of their children is my husband, Mark D. Scalf (the 2nd child). My name was Linda Pingaro. my maiden name is misspelled on the website.

Our daughter's name is Jacqueline Nicole Scalf, b. 12/1/81........her middle name is misspelled on the website.

Michael Truett Scalf.(1st child).......spouse Norma Jean.....is Jenkins.
THey have two children......Jason with spouse Lisa ??, then Clint with spouse Melissa ??. Clint and Melissa have a small child. I will forward your site onto Norma for her to give you all the info.

Also, a sister of Patsy........Other Fay......right above Patsy's name..........her husb. is dec'd from prob. 25-30 yrs ago..........as is their child Kelly who died a year or two before Fay I believe. He had a wife, but no children. I am sorry I don't have dates to add. THis family had a tragic ending.
